From Water Out

Before we start to trace or detect water leakage, we have to comfrim if there is a leakage from the result; meaning if there a leakage. A stained mark is not neccessary indication of confirmed leakage unless the stained mark is damp with water or a equipment is used to test if the wall contain high moisture.

Why is this so? Sometimes a stained mark on wall may not indicate leakage unless a equipment measure is confirmed. If the stained mark measure detect no leakage, this may imply that these stained mark may come from the previous leakage that has already been remedy in the past.

Formation of efflorescence with water droplet on part of ceiling also a indication of water leakage. Efflorescence is the product where water from the upper level flooring flow or seep through the slab to the below level where part of ceiling formation of white straw-like item is formed with water droplet; hollow section can be found Once water droplet disappeared, it a indication that seepage has stopped.

Occasionally, water may found seeping out from flooring edge or wall. This is due when water is accumlated from the water IN within the object. The object will start to fill with water and due to water pressure inside the object; water is flowing out. This may resulted the seepage to the below unit.

Sometime water leakage may can be seen dripping on the said area reported by owner during site-inspection, then you may have to request the owner some information related to the leakage; example when did the leakage last seen? This will provide leads to trace the source of leakage.

Stained mark on painted wall also part of indication of leakage. These wall is made up of concrete and bricks. When there is water leakage within the wall, water could accumlated inside the wall. Stained marks will start to appear on the surface of the wall due to chemical reaction from paint and water; especially wall painted with dark colour.

A comfirmed leakage is when you genuinely witness or see water dripping, damp mark, equipments tested from the affected resulted area. Moisture meter is use to detect the stained mark on part of wall or ceiling to determine if there is high moisture reading within the wall or ceiling. High moisture indicate seepage or leakage.
