Scientific Equipment Used For Detection

Equipments are used during site-inspection play an important part in the detection for water IN. They help to indicate and remove the guessing portion if there is the present of water leakage. It increase the percentage of detection as they provide scientific data that help to determine the origin source of leakage.

Moisture meter

Moisture meter is used to measure water contain inside or within the affected wall. These wall is made of material like cement, concrete, ceramic tile, parquet (flooring) as water can be retain and detected. Homogeneous tiles that install on wall or floor will not able to detect due to they could not retain water within the material. Moisture meter provide data based on the percentage of water found within the affected surface.

Thermal scanner

Thermal scanner as the name indicate meaning thermometer. This equipment will shown temperature taken on the surface on a LCD screen; normally it operated in handheld mode. The screen provide data on where the lowest temperature which illustrate area where there is concentration of dampness. This is used mostly on high false ceiling where taking reading on these serve as a challenge.

Ultrasonic sound

Ultrasonic sound is a equipment that used to detect leakage on water pipe. When water through a leak pore from the pipe, will have a high-frequency components; through the headset can hear the leak of the rapids or instructions. It can be used to trace water leakage on water supply pipe.

The data provided by these equipments help to reduce the error and guessing during the tracing process. With the data from the water IN and findings from Water OUT, the origin source of leakage can be trace and confirmed.
