Waterfall Theory - Second Source Leakage

Water fall theory is used to explain when there may be a second source of leakage.

The waterfall theory is used to describe the possibility of have a second of water seepage or leakage. There is always a possibility of secondary leakage after the first repair is done on the main leakage. It can only determine after monitoring for a period of time due to retention of water inside the object.

Could we have 1 water IN and 1 water OUT? Could we have 1 water IN and many water OUT? Or could we have many water IN and 1 water OUT? Or could we have many water IN and many water OUT?

All the above description is possible. Based on our past data, secondary leakage made up less than 2 percent. Rectifying the main cause of leakage lead to solving most of the leakage that are corrected detected the first time.

Imagine there is 2 waterfalls, upper level and lower lower. Upper level is the main source of leakage that detected during site-inspection where as lower level is the secondary source of leakage has not detected yet.

The main source of leakage (upper level) has to be rectified first. Upper level water need stop flowing in this case in order to discover whether there is a secondary leakage which is just below the upper level.

The second source of leakage would not be the same as main source leakage as it has been rectified. Warranty is given to the work repair based on the main source repair. These leakage are the second top of the possible list of leakage.

In order to confirmed there is no second source, the main source of leakage need to be rectified. It only when the top main source water stop flowing, will we then can confirm if there is a second source of leakage.

Sometime second source of leakage may be occur during warranty period. It would lead to whether the right source of leakage been repaired, report to owner provide source of leakage before work is carry out.

There is always possibility of second source of leakage after repair. It may happen after the date of inspection, after work done and it could happen after in days, weeks, months and years; subjected to wear and tear mostly.

The second source of leakage method statement for repair will be difference from the main source. Difference source of water leakage required difference method of repair because the main source of leakage have been rectified.
